i'm going strong on my 2010 goals! it's only february but still... there is a week left in the month and i'm already done. pat on the back for me.
aj and jon came to town last weekend so i made enchiladas! katie gave me a recipe from her friend and it was soo delicious. we were eating leftovers for days.

it looks kind of funny and sick up close (camera phone). but it was tasty, i promise.

so it turns out that i'm actually worse at baking then i am at cooking. which is pretty upsetting because i love my treats. i made homemade oreos and this was my first attempt at cream cheese frosting... i'm almost positive it's not supposed to be clumpy and runny like that.

but they still turned out! a bit messy but soft, rich, and gooey nonetheless. i made 2 plates full yesterday and this morning there were only 2 left! so i guess they were a hit :)

i got the idea for this craft
here. i found a little black tray in the dollar zone at target and thought it was perfect. i like it better than the one they used because of the handles. i painted it like 3 times and the plaster stressed me out like nothing else. i went to bed thinking that i'd struck out on this one.

but this morning i woke up and decided i loved it! i eat breakfast in bed daily so it's perfect. i borrowed emily's bridesmaid bouquet for the photo op but i'm thinking i should have flowers sitting next to it at all times.
i'm going to try and up the difficulty for my march meals and treats. no ideas yet so feel free to throw some out!

amanda!! i just made homemade oreos this week and they were delish. our treat loving minds are always on the same page. we must compare recipes. i got my recipe from this blog called just-cook-already.blogspot.com and i absolutely love their blog, they post yummy recipes daily.
great job!!!!!
I'm glad the enchiladas worked out. We haven't made it yet, but we are going to try it tonight when Hillary comes over for dinner. The craft is cute too!! It would make a cute wedding gift, so the new couple could have breakfast in bed.
for some reason i get a kick out of the idea of you carrying a cookie up to your room just so you can eat it from that tray. it looks adorable.
i'm impressed.
you should have cookies for breakfast everyday too!
I love it....
