i've got some pretty lofty goals for 2010. but i think i can handle them. first off, i'm going to learn how to cook! slowly but surely. i'm going to start by learning how to make one new meal a month. and one new treat. for january i learned how to make white chicken chili. julie harps (nephi's sister) gave me the recipe and it's suuuper easy and yummy. i've already made it twice.

my monthly craft group dipped chocolate this month so that kind of got my january treat out of the way. apparently cake balls are the best things ever and everyone knew but me?? see more here. mine will look that pretty one day... my roommates are major treat gobblers so i'm excited to test some new things on them!
i'm also going to be doing a monthly craft. i knew i wanted to frame this picture of nephi and i at the newport beach temple so i bought an unfinished wood frame at michael's then painted, distressed, and mod podged it. i haven't hung it up yet so right now it's just resting on that dinky little stand. i'm so happy about the way it turned out! but not in this picture... it's a lot cuter in real life.
i also bought some colorful buttons at the swap meet and used them to revamp an old cardi! it used to have boring black ones. maybe next month i'll remember to take before pictures. i've since gone button crazy and am so excited to get a batch of vintage buttons i ordered on ebay!
so that's january. hopefully things get bigger and better as the year goes on. :)

I had a roommate Porthouse that tested her goodies and baking out on me. I gained weight.

I'm reminded of a Beastie Boys song... "she's crafty... and she's just my type... ding da ding ding...." White chicken chili is sooo good! :o) I love all your other projects as well. Saweet! :o) (oh, and I totally stalk people via blogs so if that makes you uncomfortable you'll just have to get over it! HAHA!)
Uhm....better than your bowls and plates are your spoons. You and Penny will get along great as she loves anything Mickey Mouse. Now if only I can convince Nephi and you to come visit.......
