we had so many barbies! i wish i could go play with them right now with my sisters.
i don't know why this guy has so much time on his hands, but i'm glad he does! i was never a big fan of playing because i was so terrible but i spent countless hours watching lizzie play.
one of our nannies introduced us to this song. so funny and weird to me. it's kind of an odd song for a 20 something year old to be obsessed with.
i don't know why this song makes me feel so nastalgic??? my dad must have liked it or something. i was too young to have my own copy of it so who knows. it might be my favorite song ever though.

i just closed my eyes and i was five again in a dark brown kitchen doing my hair in the mirror above the kitchen table listening to that huge silver radio before school.
i'm crying after listening to something in red. SO CUTE!!!!!!!
the lady from "looking for something in red" has post-partum depression. it is a sad song, but i'm glad you posted it. i remember the cross my heart from the early 90s.
i wrote her a new verse:
i'm looking for something in-side.
something to uncover the joy of my child.
my heart is yearning to sing a glad song.
to find all the love that to a family belongs.
please help me to feel all the comfort denied,
i'm looking for something in-side.
hearts, mommahirt
aj- LOL at that visual.
martha- are you sure you want to be a nurse? i think you've got potential as a singer/songwriter! :)
I read this post the day you posted it, but I didn't have time to comment. I've had "something in red" in my head ever since. I love that song!! I love that you posted all those pictures of the Barbie stuff, such memories. That last song if from the movie "True Country"
This brought back lots of memories. I always liked "Something in Red" and anything from George Strait is good. While in Phoenix over the weekend Warren had a radio station in the car that only played country music from the 90s. It reminded me of the fun days when we all listened to country.
gary commented on my blog!!! :):):):):):)
