One of my best friends was killed last week when she was hit by a car while riding her bike. My girlfriends (here, here, and here) have already said things far better than I ever could, but I would still like to write a little tribute to my dear Brynn.
I met Brynn in 2nd grade and we've been friends ever since. I had such a happy childhood largely in part to the girlfriends I spent all my time with. We were a very tight group and thankfully have stayed close. Brynn was always the life of the party and made any situation hilarious. She was my little memory keeper and could remember all of our inside jokes in great detail. I know I'll always remember the big events that involved her but I worry that I will forget those little things we used to laugh so hard at because she's not here to remind me. We lived far away but we would almost always meet up when I was in town for holidays. Even if we hadn't seen each other in months we could pick up right where we left off as soon as we got together.
I have had a rough month and because of that I've talked to Brynn very recently. She text me just a week before she died asking how I was doing with everything. She told me there was nothing worse than the heartache I was feeling. I believed her at the time because I was really hurting. But now if I had the choice I would take that heartache over the pain of losing such a dear friend a million times over. I'm so grateful for what I went through last month because it gave us a chance to talk one last time.
I wish things could be different and I wish her family wasn't hurting so much. But I'm grateful for everything I know about the plan of salvation and for having Brynn in my life for over 18 years. She really was such a special person and I feel so blessed for knowing her.

Oh Brynn. I will love and miss you forever, my dear.

She could remember every detail of every story. It was incredible. And she always had the perfect words to comfort and guide. This was beautiful and you did a great job!! Love you!

that picture of brynn with cricket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so funny. she was the best friend. i love her and you forever.
How cute! I went to all of your friends blogs and read their tributes, too. It was really fun to see all the pictures from when you guys were younger. I'm sorry it ended how it did. You guys should all start writing down your memories you have with her, about her, and so on. Maybe you could put them in a book or something and each get a copy. That way you could have a piece of her to look at. Include all these great pictures!
These pictures are Amazing!!! I am so glad you were able to make it out! I love what you said and agree with everything!
